Temporary Bridge Cochrane, Chile

In 2021, Waagner-Biro delivered a 39m long temporary modular bridge (Bailey type) to the small town of Cochrane in the region of Aysén in Chile. Puente Cochrane had remained in service until February 2024, when it was dismantled using a cantilever de-launch methodology. The bridge was removed in only 50 hours using 7 workers. Afterwards the bridge parts were checked and handed over to the local office of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) for further re-use at some other location in the near future.

Footbridge with bascule section at Kuchelau Harbour, Vienna, Austria

In 2020 Waagner-Biro supplied a temporary pedestrian bridge for the Kuchelau Harbour in Vienna. It consists of two side spans and a movable medium span. Spanning a total of 70 metres, the bridge provides an alternative route during construction works for an existing road bridge. .

20 January 2021 to provide an alternative route for bicycle and pedestrian traffic during construction works on a road bridge.

Reconstruction of bridges near Brandýs nad Orlicí

In 2020 Waagner-Biro delivered a 4.20m wide multi-span panel steel bridge (Bailey-type) with a total length of 61.450 metres to serve as temporary replacement bridge during reconstruction of an old road bridge across the Orlice River in the town of Brandýs nad Orlicí. A few months later, in March 2021, a 30.48-metre replacement bridge was built east of Brandýs nad Orlicí.
