The Brenner Motorway (European Route E45) is to this day one the most frequented alpine roads in Europe. The single spans in the centre of the bridge amount to 198m each. Originally supporting four lanes, the bridge deck was widened in 1984 to accommodate a total of six lanes with a width of 22m. The steel support structure has a total weight of 5500 tons. The bridge is located south of Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria.
